Dear Anna–6 years old!

Dear Anna!

You are turning 6 years old today, and you are very excited about your birthday. Another year flew by, and it’s been a great year for you. You are now a confident first grader with so many new skills. You can bounce balls and swim. You love music and singing. But your most favorite thing to do is to read. You are reading for fun, you are reading to relax, you are even reading when you are bored. But at the same time you do enjoy active play and spending time with friends. You can spend hours with your best friend Alex playing pretend games, stopping to read, then playing again. You thrive in school and say that this is your favorite place to be. No, you wouldn’t want to be in a boarding school, because you are still such a mama girl. You tell me every day how you love me terribly and wish I never left you. I have no intention of leaving you, my silly Anna-girl. I want to see you grow into a beautiful and young lady, and I want to be there for you to guide you and cuddle you and laugh with you as I did in the past 6 years.
