Anna’s art box didn’t see any love from her since she came back from her trip to grandparents. To be honest, it didn’t see a lot of love before her trip either – she doesn’t like coloring and not really interested in collage arts either. But last Friday she suddenly pulled out a coffee jacket from Starbucks out of her box and started coloring and decorating it. She was periodically testing it around her head to see how it will look like. My husband helped out with a hole puncher and a rubber string – and she had her own “autumn headband”. It was funny to see how exciting she was – she kept walking around saying I did this headband all by myself! And she had to call and tell her grandparents all about it. I love these rare moments when she creates “something from nothing” – they are so much more valuable to her than any of the guided projects at home or at school.

Oh that is so cute! I think their art is always so precious when they do it all themselves!
Isn't that for sure, they are definitely the best projects. :-)
Oh my goodness, her autumn headband is adorable! I can just imagine her working so hard on it. Way to go, Anna!!
That is so cute! My kids do that from time to time and it cracks me up.
Great idea Anna! I love it!
Yet another great idea for using those Starbucks holders. I think we shall have to try this one with some feathers and glue as my daughter loves hats.
Very pretty and creative!
This is very cool! "Something from nothing" projects are always the best!
Adorable! I love those special art projects too.
I like her creative thinking of turning a coffee jacket into a autumn headband. This is one very special headband!
Wow I like how she came up with this project herself :)
