I can’t believe that it’s July 1st already. June seemed to just rush by me. It seemed that all month we were traveling, fighting sickness, and recovering from all this. I enjoyed the trips – both our personal vacation and even my business trip to England and Israel, but I am looking forward to a quieter time in July – at home with my family. Work has picked up lately, but seeing my Israeli coworkers and friends made me decidedly more committed, and I feel more productive than I felt in the first six months of this year. At home, however, I feel that I fell back into a trap of trying to do too much as if I am trying to compensate for falling out of the routine. It’s not going well either for me or for Anna, so again I want to chill out, play more, teach less, not worry about art projects and just have fun together. I have never got around to writing my Summer Bucket list, but I do want to meet a few goals this month:
- Spend a lot of time in the pool (weather permitting)
- Kick off our second big project of the year – landscaping our backyard
- Find a babysitter and attend a big party of our friends sans Anna
- Go sailing
- Participate in a community garage sale and sell/donate the stuff we don’t need
- Bake at least once, maybe twice :)

Looks like a nice, relaxed summer list! I love summer :)
I love summer. :-) I passed on a blog award to you. You can see it at my blog.
Sounds idyllic - hopefully the storm clouds we have had all week will be gone by Sunday and we will be back to our usual routine of pool and more pool. I also want to do some baking and cooking - something about summer makes me feel that way, so hopefully I will achieve that goal. Hope you get to have that party with your friends - if we lived anywhere close I would come and babysit for you!
Good goals!
Great list. I'm glad you will have some time to relax and have fun this month. Even though I don't work, I find myself trying to do too much and getting frazzled and having to calm down and find our misplaced routines! I would babysit for you too - my kids would LOVE that!
Relaxing sounds like a wonderful idea. I wonder if I'll ever figure out how to do that! Enjoy your July.
Sounds like a good list of fun and relaxing things to do! Enjoy!
Thanks for linking up! These sound like excellent goals. Mike and I are also hoping to attend a party sans children this month. We swap babysitting with friends for daytime dates each month, but it's more difficult to find a good evening babysitter.
Good luck with all of your goals, and I really like the photo you included in this post!
Great relaxed family time! You all deserve to just have some fun out and about at home! I look forward to reading all that you do!
Enjoy your nice relaxed summer, :-)
You deserve to relax! You've done so much in the past...I always wonder how you do it all?
Kiddo and I made a summer to do list yesterday! I hope it encourages us to stay on track this summer. Summer is definitely all about relaxing. Enjoy.
