- Anna: Mama, I am getting married.
- Me: Great, who are you marrying?
- Anna: Umm… Now I am marrying Tootle (her train), and when I am 14 I’ll marry a real boy.
The scene: Eating shrimp.
Anna (thoughtfully): You know, shrimp has two natural enemies – whales and humans.
The scene: Preparing to go outside.
Anna: I am not pink enough. I am only half pink. I want to be all pink.
The scene: Family walk:
- Me (to husband): Can you imagine that next year she will be in kindergarten?
- Anna: And when I am older, I want to be in church.
- Husband: Where?
- Anna (loudly): Church! I want to learn more about God!
- Me: Who gave you this idea?
- Anna: Nobody. Just the computer in my brain.

Too cute! My favorite is the half pink comment. The photo of Anna to go with it looks adorable! Glad she's discovered the beauty of pink!
I find that regardless of religious background, kids are curious about God and how this world got started. I used to love listening to the children argue over how the world started! They really got into it!

Kiddo also tells me he has a computer in his brain! He says that he has a good memory because the fingers are typing on the computer in his brain. So funny! Interesting to think that when we were growing up we didn't have this kind of metaphor. What was in our brains? Print encyclopedias?

I have said it before and I will say it again, she is one smart cookie that beautiful girl of yours. Kindergarten does not know what is about to hit it, she will be promoted to first grade in Week 1 :-)
