This week the art box had some craft foam, scissors, scrap paper, bingo page from Making Learning Fun, glue, markers, stickers and googly eyes. Anna spent first 15 minutes shredding foam paper into “salad” and asking for more. Then she proceeded to trace her hands. Interestingly, generally she doesn’t like to get her hands dirty, but doesn’t mind at all when they are all covered in marker paint. Then she disc
overed googly eyes, and it gave her other ideas. She put together this monster from the materials in the box, and then was done. It was definitely not as long as the first time, but she was in a bad mood that day anyway. Still – the art box seems to gain popularity here even though she still strongly prefers structured projects.

My son doesn't like getting his hands dirty either! He never wanted to do fingerpaint.
Such a cute monster. Selena is warming up to the art box idea slowly like Anna.
She did a great job!

Congrats on the Amazon card! I love how she shredded the paper into salad!
I love the foam salad, lol! I love your monster, Anna, and I agree - googley eyes are just SO inspiring, aren't they?! :) She did great!
Anna's monster is really cute!
Googley eyes are so much fun. Mine always make soup when they make play food, isn't it funny what they decide to make sometimes? Princess is the same way about not wanting to get her hands dirty, but being perfectly willing to get marker all over.
WOW - she did a great job. i love the monster! Funny she doesn't mind the marker paint. Turbo won't have any of it. No cute painted handprint turkeys in our house this year.
